한국어 교육학 석사학위를 받은 최초의 외국인인 스티븐 리비어 씨는 1995년에 한국에 오신 이후 재미있는 여러 가지 일을 해오셨다. 2000년대에 아리랑 텔레비전의 Let's Speak Korean이라는 한국어 가르치는 방성을 진행하셨고 2008년에 10이라는 영어 잡지를 창간하셨다. 한국어 신문 칼럼을 쓰신 적도 있고 최근에는 새로운 SNS 컨설팅 회사도 설립하셨다.
