During testimony in a 2017 case George Santos told King County Judge Sean O'Donnell he worked for Goldman Sachs in New York, a claim now known to be false as Goldman Sachs has no record of Santos ever working there. Santos was testifying as a character witness for a 'family friend' who was deported to Brazil for credit card fraud after he was seen with skimming devices at ATMs on Pike Street. We have courtroom sound of Santos' comments, and chat with Politico reporter Jacqueline Sweet, who broke the story. PLUS: An Alaska state representative is censured for offensive comments about child abuse. AND: There's bipartisan support in Olympia to impose tax breaks for certain types of pigeons. Guests include Politico's Jacqueline Sweet, legal analyst Royal Oakes, and Paul Queary of the Washington Observer. The Northwest Politicast with Jeff Pohjola: From this Washington to that one, Jeff Pohjola will explore the issues and politics of the week. Frequent guests and top analysts break down the news to get to the heart of what matters most. Subscribe at nwnewsradio.com or on your favorite podcast app.
