Our App today is called Heat Safety Tool. It's summer in Texas. It's going to be hot, because it's already hot. And the heat will just get more intense over the next few months. This app helps you take precautions against the heat, if you have to be out in it. It comes from OSHA. It gives you the information that you need to deal with the heat. It shows you the conditions that you'll find outside on a particular day, especially dealing with the heat index. It has real time information about that and weather forecasts for where you are. It has the recommendations about what you can and can't do outside. You might be new to Texas, so you might be new to the heat's intensity. It shows the risk levels of being out in the heat for any period of time. It'll also show you what to watch out for when it comes to heat stress or heat exhaustion. Then, there's the First Aid for those conditions. OSHA's Heat Safety Tool is a free app on iTunes and Android.
