Coach McCray made his film debut on the 2018 YouTube series The Best Shot, with NBA Legends LeBron James (executive producer) and Jay Williams (co-producer/ESPN basketball analyst). This documentary follows Coach McCray, Central High School faculty and their basketball team through the trials and triumphs of inner-city life. Coach McCray is a youth mentor and prides himself on "crossing it up" by using academics and sports to combat poverty, fixed mindsets, and gang violence. Shawn McCray's life is a true testament of will and determination. It truly takes a village, and a Zoo Crew, to make an impact and inspire change.
