The Supreme Court is hearing arguments that could overturn a 90-year precedent, and that could possibly expand the power of the Oval Office. At issue -- President Trump's firing earlier this year of Rebecca Slaughter, a Democrat appointed to the Federal Trade Commission in 2018. The Justices are weighing whether the president has executive authority to terminate officials from independent federal agencies without cause.
