CW: Violence, gun violence, acquittal Dear listeners: Not long after this podcast was recorded, Kyle Rittenhouse--who shot three people, killing two, during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin--was declared not guilty with regard to the five related charges he faced. Like many of you, we are not surprised; like many of you, the word "disappointed" falls short of the truth of our emotions. We will address this verdict in our next episode. For now, we hope you will truly extend love and care to one another and yourselves. -------------- This week, we discuss the radical notion of caring for people other than yourself. (What a concept!) We also discuss the Thanksgiving holiday--otherwise known as the National Day of Mourning--and ways you can repurpose this holiday as a day of service. Resources discussed: Reparations https://native-land.ca/
