The district attorney in Monroe County, New York, has released a video apologizing after an encounter with a police officer last week.

In the officer's body camera video, Sandra Doorley is seen flashing her DA badge to the officer and telling him that she really didn't care that he caught her driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone.

"You know what I've been dealing with all day? Three murders in the city. And do you think I really care if I was going 20 miles over the speed limit."

Doorley immediately came under fire with New York's governor, calling for an investigation.

In a video released Monday, Doorley apologized for her actions, saying she is fully to blame.

"I didn't treat this officer with the respect that he deserved. All police officers deserve respect. I am truly and sincerely sorry."

Doorley said she's pleaded guilty to speeding and will go through ethics training to remind herself that professionalism matters.
