Archie and Eric Lewis, CPA will cover 4th quarter action items to save on taxes. Eric has worked in public accounting and hi-tech finance since 1995. Most recently, he was Executive Director of Walker Ventures, a $100 million early stage venture capital fund located near Baltimore, Maryland. Eric has served as Chief Financial Officer at two venture capital-backed high tech companies and has worked with large regional CPA firms in auditing, tax and business consulting.

Eric serves on the Board of Governors of his alma mater, Shepherd University, having been appointed by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin in February 2016. Eric also serves on the Board of Directors of Jefferson Security Bank, the Shepherd Entrepreneurship and Research Corporation, the Shepherd University Foundation, Shepherd University Athletic Club, and West Virginia Vision Shared.

Eric also previously served on the West Virginia School Building Authority, as he was appointed by Governor Joe Manchin and reappointed by Governor Tomblin. He has previously served as Chairman of the West Virginia Venture Connection, a nonprofit created by Senator John D. Rockefeller IV and on the Boards of the Jefferson County Development Authority, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson County Farm Bureau, Shepherd University Alumni Association and the Jefferson County Schools Education Foundation. Eric graduated cum laude from Shepherd College with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and lives in Shepherdstown with his wife and two children.
