Our newest edition of the is up and Mike Gill and T.J. Rives are talking lots about NFL topics and they have guest wtih some great insight on dealing with players/coaches and the media. It's all on this "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast."
The guys debate the debut of Tom Brady in the top Fox Sporst TV booth for the NFL, as he worked with Kevin Burkhardt on the Cowboys/Browns game this past Sunday. Mike feels strongly about what Brady lacked, but the debate ensues on whether he'll be better?
They also discuss the smashing ratings for the NFL overall off the weekend and then, they turn to the controversy of 49ers backup RB Jordan Mason revealing to ESPN's Lisa Salters after the Monday night game that he knew for days he'd be starting for injured Christan McCaffery. Yet, the 49ers didn't list McCaffery as doubtful or out on the injury report, as required.
That's where the guys turn to Jonathan Grella, former V.P. of Communications for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to give them his inisght on being on the inside for a team dealing with these situations, when they arise. Grella even has examples of when he dealt wtih this during his Bucs tenure.
