56. Carolina Acosta tells us how she launched a card game that is now sold in Target stores

In this episode you will hear how Carolina Acosta, a millennial Latina is on her way to being a millionaire through the sales of card games. She is the founder and CEO of Tragos, the party game for Latinos by Latinos. Tragos celebrates Latino cultural norms and traditions with trivia, drinks, challenges and laughter. She lives in New Jersey and is originally from Queens New York. Her parents are immigrants from Colombia and the Dominican Republic. She started Tragos as a side-hustle with just $500 and went on to make over 1 million in less than two years. Prior to Tragos, she worked for 5 years in product and design strategy consulting at a design agency based in NYC. Carolina has worked with over 20 startups to launch their brands and products, acting as producer, creative director, project manager, and client liaison. After working with her partner, John Lim, to launch Azn Flush – the Asian card game equivalent to Tragos – Carolina launched Tragos in 2019 to build a product that spoke to her own interests and her identity as a US-born Latina. What started off as a fun experiment has turned into a passion that grows more each day, inspiring Carolina to build Tragos into a national brand and voice that will support and empower Latinos in the US with more opportunities in housing, education, and entrepreneurship. Tragos Original is still the best selecting pack. In addition there are several booster packs. She also launched Get Loud! A bilingual guessing game that is great for the whole family in 2022. Carolina Acosta was selected for Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2021 for the creation of Tragos. Tragos and Carolina have also been featured in InStyle, Refinery29, Mitu, Remezcla, People En Espanol, Telemundo, ABC, and more. Tragos will be available in Target nationwide starting this month. Besides Target, Tragos and Get Loud are available on www.tragosgame.com and on Amazon.com, and Walmart.com.
