In this first episode of the year, we’re kicking off 2024 by talking about communication! It’s one of the most important skills to master for successful leadership at any level, and yet so often leaders bungle this. Whether they misunderstand the audience, or don’t know a better way to do it, quite often we find ourselves hearing the same party line repeated over and over in the hopes that suddenly we’ll magically understand and agree with it. And while many companies are getting a lot better at the externally facing communication, there is still great room for improvement in the internal and team communications that go on in the majority of organisations.

To talk us through these challenges and many more, I’m joined today by Ulrike Seminati, a former senior executive in Corporate Communications and current Leadership Coach. We discuss Leader-led comunications and what we can learn about leadership from her career in corporate communications, how to be more authentic as a leader and communicator, and the trials and tribulations of managing change.
