This week's podcast guest, Angela Burgess, has had something of an unconventional career path so far and is well placed to explain what to do to navigate change, find your path to a career you love. On top of that, Angela's background in the world of nonprofits also gives a uniquely interesting perspective on leadership and success.
We talk about everything from the pressure of feeling like you need to know what your career will look like before you've even left school as opposed to the reality that most of us discover once we actually enter the workforce, the similarities and differences between the private and not-for-profit sectors, as well as the leadership lessons to be had from all of this. All explored through the lens of Angela's own experiences from majoring in Spanish and Communication studies to entering the wealth management industry, and then later leaving to work in a nonprofit.
