Anthony (Tony) Hope runs the Salamanca walk a very flexible tour tailored to individual requests from Monday to Sunday alongside his working mate and tour guide Peter Lutz, the Manager of the Salamanca Walk tours.

Tony has an interesting history and has also written about the history of Salamanca, in Hobart, Tasmania. His book A Quarry Speaks which is an illustrated history of Salamanca, Sullivans Cove and Battery Point now in its second edition. The book refers to the early colonial days including the convicts and early pioneering companies right up to the building of the Salamanca Square complex.
