Aer Lingus dispute: another Labor Court hearing today.

Aighneas Aer Lingus: éisteacht eile sa Chúirt Oibreachais inniu.

The Labor Court is to intervene later today in the dispute between the management and the pilots in Aer Lingus.

Tá an Chúirt Oibreachais le idirghabháil a dhéanamh níos deireanaí inniu san aighneas idir an bhainistíocht agus na píolótaí in Aer Lingus.

Yesterday, both sides sent written submissions to the Court and they are to present their various cases – according to the contents of those submissions – to the Court after lunchtime today.

Inné, chuir an dá thaobh aighneachtaí scríofa chuig an gCúirt agus tá siad lena gcásanna éagsúla – de réir a bhfuil sna haighneachtaí sin – a chur i láthair na Cúirte tar éis am lóin inniu.

The Court will then issue a settlement recommendation.

The Court asked that nothing be done in between that would aggravate the dispute.

The pilots are working according to the rules and Aer Lingus has had 392 cancellations so far today as a result.

The airline announced this morning that they had still canceled another 76 flights.

There is a 23.8% pay rise from the pilots but the management says that the company cannot afford to give them.

Tá ardú pá 23.8 faoin gcéad ó na píolótaí ach deir an bhainistíocht nach bhfuil an comhlacht in acmhainn a thabhairt dóibh.

If any pay rise is given to the pilots, management says, it will be in respect of changes in their working practices.
