“A House Is Not A Disco,” is the directorial debut of one of my favorite actors, Brian J. Smith. From his co-starring roles from “Stargate Universe” to “Sense 8;” to “Treadstone” and the time-hopping “Class of 09,” Brian has portrayed nuanced and soulful performances with just the right amount of coming dread or authority, (he needs to grow his hair out sometime, lol). This documentary debut is about The Pines, a staple of Fire Island and a haven for the lgbtq community. This is one of my favorite interviews.
