Dashiellʼs debut LP on his own imprint Pollinate Records is set to hit the virtual shelves this August. Recorded from 2020 - 2022 in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg, the album features field recordings of the artists local area and surroundings, as well as experimental synthesis and drum patterns. Unlike his more dance floor orientated releases on Felt Sense and Animalia, the album exposes a deeper, more personal reflection of the artist. Undefinable by a single genre, Dashiell explores varying styles and narratives throughout the piece, revisiting familiar glitchy territories and exploring foreign ambient soundscapes. The work delivers a sonic rendition of an uncertain future, as optimistic as it is cynical. Dashiell has just recently returned from a string of European shows with his band Ménage, including gigs at The Breakfast Club party in Amsterdam and Harmony Records party in Prague. With more time now to focus on his Label Pollinate, Dashiell is determined to shine light on Melbourne based producers and artists with more releases from the label expected this year. The album will be released on CD and digital formats available through the Pollinate Records Bandcamp. Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/dashiell https://soundcloud.com/pollinaterecords
