Martin Buscaglia is the Uruguayan singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer for carnival and film, and producer who is a key figure in the Southern Cone contemporary music scene. His chameleon like approach to music fuses Latin flavours with psychedelic grooves. In 2006 he released his highly acclaimed full-length album “El Evangelio Según Mi Jardinero” on Lovemonk which has since become one of Uruguay’s most iconic long players with its outstanding fusion of Latin psychedelia, funk, tropicalism and Candombe. Martín has recorded and played with a wide range of Latin artists like Jorge Drexler, Arnaldo Antunes, Julieta Venegas, Leo Masliah, Jaime Roos, Juana Molina, Jackson Browne and Os Mulheres Negras. “Cerebro, Orgasmo, Envidia & Sofia” is lifted from the album and is a riotous, psychedelic Latin-funk anthem that features Arnaldo Antunes. Madrid label Lovemonk releases this much adored track on 7” vinyl for the very first time, with Ubiquity Records stalwart Bosq on board to provide a perfectly matched remix. The Boston born Medellin based musical fusionist resisted the temptation to bump it up to 120 bpm as he thinks that the world needs more midtempo dancefloor treats. We couldn’t agree with him more! Here Bosq adds his magical touch and a tad of Cumbia to bring maximum pleasure to summer dancefloors.
