Dr. King's message has been co-opted by many moderates today primarily because his more radical positions on the three evils of America have been intentionally left out of the history books. Dr. King advocated for a radical change in American society to combat militarism, capitalism and racism but the history books tend to focus on his early activism and largely ignores his radical stance on the three evils of America.
