Dopo il successo di “_A Hard Day's Night_”, nel 1965 i Beatles si trovarono di nuovo ad affrontare il grande schermo con un nuovo film, “_Help!_”, ancora diretto da Richard Lester. Ma sarebbe riduttivo ritenere il disco una pura e semplice colonna sonora. Era molto di più ovviamente, un disco straordinariamente bello e, soprattutto, il segno di una sbalorditiva crescita creativa e compositiva. Da "_Beatles for sale_", uscito appena otto mesi prima, il salto è evidente. L'album sorprende ancora oggi per la sua ineguagliabile grazia, con brani destinati alla leggenda, dalla meravigliosa _Yesterday _alla travolgente _Ticket To Ride_, passando per la dylaniana _You've got to hide your love away_ e per i brani scritti da Harrison, che confermavano la crescita anche del più giovane dei quattro come autore.
