So many families struggle to keep their homes heated in the winter, cool in the summer, and just to keep the lights on in general. Every state needs a Cindy Carter, the Cofounder of The Critical Medical Needs Program of Maryland. As a cancer survivor she didn't have time to worry about bills while she was battling cancer, she just needed to take care of herself. For families with disabled loved ones, this critical medical needs program opened up to serve anyone with a disability or major medical situation.
