Generational Promises

Summary: God calls his children to faithfully serve Him in their generation and leave a clear example to the next generation.
Psalm 145:4 (ESV) One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
Psalm 115:14–15 (ESV) May the LORD give you increase, you and your children! 15 May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
Psalm 103:17 (ESV) But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children,
Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
Psalm 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
1. We live in Blessing when we diligently seek the Lord.
Psalm 24:1–6 (ESV) The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. 2. We live in blessing when we share the promise of His salvation.

3. We live in blessing when we serve our God in our own generation.
Acts 13:36. (ESV) For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption
