What is “neurodivergent”? Neurodivergent is a nonmedical term that describes people whose brains develop or work differently for some reason. This means the person has different strengths and struggles from people whose brains develop or work more typically. While some people who are neurodivergent have medical conditions, it also happens to people where a medical condition or diagnosis hasn’t been identified.

No two couples are alike, no two people are alike. How do you, as a vendor, support individuals that are neurodivergent? This can be as simple as tuning into the fact that someone needs a break from the noise, just a few minutes alone to be in the quiet, be with their person, not have 100+ guests in their face…there are even couples we work with that ask “not” to be the center of attention on their wedding day. While that can be a bit challenging, it’s important to pay attention to what someone is mentally and emotionally dealing with on a big event day, to help them get through it easiest.

As a vendor are you asking “what do you need” out of your day or are you saying “this is what we do for you on your day”? In this episode we’ll talk about how to dig deeper into someone’s humanity, to best serve them as our client, our couple, our people that we love so dearly.
