Our minds are fertile grounds, so we have to be careful what we’re feeding them. Before we know it we will be stuck wondering what happened and how do we fix it? Luckily, once you know what makes you feel good you can always go back to it if you steer off track and it will put you back.

I know most people will say they don’t have time, but that is NEVER an excuse. If you don’t currently have time, you need to make time for this. Time for yourself is beneficial for everything, it keeps you sane, it gives you clarity and it puts you in a better mood.

Whether it’s a morning ritual, daily accountability acts or night time ritual, making time for yourself is a must. Most of us are working, scrolling, eating and sleeping without making any time to fill ourselves with positivity or quiet time. Today, I want to discuss the different ways you can feed your mind positively.

Work Out/Movement - Your mind can only focus on one thing at a time, so if you workout you will be forced to be in the moment during that time. Being in the moment is extremely beneficial for getting us in the now, which is where we can always find the most peace. If you don’t like working out, go for a walk, do yoga, hike, DANCE like nobody's watching

Gratitude/Affirmations - If you’re a person who claims you have no time for anything, at least make time for these two things which are quick and highly effective, especially over time. Every morning, set the tone of the day by being thankful, even if it’s for the simplest of things.

Read/Learn - Carve out some time during your day to read or if you don’t want to read, try learning something new. This doesn’t have to be for a long period of time, but at least give yourself an hour to do this. Keep your mind busy doing something that will give back to yourself.

Meditate - This one is SO important. With all the chaos going on in the outside world, it’s important to make some time for solitude for ourselves so we can align our inner world. We can create peace through meditation. I set aside 10 minutes a day to do this, preferably in the morning after my workout and before I go about checking emails and social media.

Another thing I want to mention because I feel like it’s important in gaining peace and raising positivity in your life is to ignore whatever isn’t giving you peace of mind. The best tool is out of sight out of mind. It’s so simple yet so powerful.
