This episode is definitely our most vulnerable and personal so please bare with us. This week we discuss our relationships with food, bodies, and dieting over the course of our lifetime. We share some of our biggest struggles that we faced while ingrained in diet culture and some of our restrictive and unhealthy habits that we are still working through today. Jamee has obviously had a longer history working through these struggles while Lauryn is relatively new. Both of us have had our fair share of struggles and have been there to support each other through the good, the bad and the ugly. We also briefly discuss our thoughts on intuitive eating--what we love about it and what we are still coming to terms with--and new ways we are reframing how we talk about our food choices and our bodies. This was definitely a long-winded journey to share what we have been through but we are excited to keep discussing this topic! In the future, we plan to share our strategies that we've been using going forward and ways that we are working to break out of diet culture each and every day.
