Our guest this week is David Fishof, a music producer, sports rep, and the founder of both the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp and the Comedy Fantasy Camp, where we became friends.
Born in New York City, David launched his 45-year career representing acts in the Catskill Mountains, a holiday destination for stressed-out New Yorkers.
He started to double as a sports agent, representing Phil Simms, Mark Bavaro, Vince Ferragamo, Jack Reynolds, Lou Piniella, Dave Magadan and Randy Myers, among others.
Then he launched a series of live tours, going on to work with Ringo Starr, The Monkees, Roger Daltrey, and Joe Walsh.
He has authored three books: "Putting It on The Line", about his experiences in the world of sports and entertainment; "Rock Your Business: What You and Your Company Can Learn From The Business of Rock and Roll"; and "Rock Camp, An Oral History: 25 Years of the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp".
In 2023, David partnered with comedian and podcast host Adam Carolla to create Comedy Fantasy Camp, announcing Jay Leno as their first headliner. Comedy Fantasy Camp takes a similar format to the Rock camp applying it to the comedic arts.
