This week, international broadcaster Mark McDonald joins Kristi and Alissa to talk about the podcasting revolution. From his own journey as a radio and television producer with the BBC, to launching his own podcasting production and consulting business, Mark guides us through how to launch, sustain and win a wide audience for your podcast, no matter how ambitious or small your targets.
Podcasters are moving in increasing numbers from uploading audio to showcasing both audio and video. And Mark is producing topic-based shows which are also increasing in diversity: from the Liss 'N Kristi podcast to programs about health, careers, workplace issues, sports, politics, and relationships.
We discuss the challenges of building audiences, the decision of whether to do both video and audio, dubbing recordings into foreign languages, and how artificial intelligence might change podcasting's future.
