In part one of a two-part interview, Reverend Mark Sowersby shares his story of a childhood riddled with abuse of all sorts. He shares about his powerlessness and confusion associated with that abuse. He talks about his struggle with facing the truth of what had happened to him and how his identity was shaped as a victim with a chip on his shoulder. He speaks honestly about his struggle with pride, anger and unwillingness to trust.
In this session Mark shares some information about the myths around forgiveness. And he openly shares why he saw the need to forgive those who had abused him and why he chose to write this book.
We explore these topics and more that are found within the pages of his first book "Forgiving the Nightmare." You can find a link below if you are interested in purchasing this book.
