Reciting, singing and contemplation on Gurbani prepares us to live by the ideals of the Sikh Gurus, especially in readiness for our inevitable end so that we do not have to suffer the pangs of death. Before then, the Sikh continues to live by Gurbani every single moment of one’s existence in gratitude that one has yet been spared of a moment that no one looks forward to or can ever be prepared for but the Sikh of Shabad Guru.
