This week on the Living Sport Podcast, we have a LIVE edition episode that was recorded while in Atlanta, Georgia during our recent Sport Business Program. Atlanta has a rich Olympic history, hosting the Games in 1996. Olympic Rings can still be found around town and make for a great photo op. While in Atlanta, we surprised our group when we introduced them to an actual Olympian who participated in the ‘96 Games.
Today we share with the world our conversation with Liliya Podkopayeva, Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast from Ukraine, who since has made Atlanta her home. Liliya shares some really great motivation and advice in this short segment including how she almost gave up on gymnastics the year before winning her gold medal proving that if your heart is set on something, you should continue to give it all you have despite the obstacles.
