The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3, snapping the Phillies’ 11-game home winning streak. This was a more typical Toronto Blue Jays game, having great starting pitching, just enough offense to keep them ahead, and a solid performance from the bullpen. Chris Bassitt had a huge bounceback game, getting swings on pitches outside of the strike zone, resulting in a ton of weak contact. Vladimir Guerrero Jr had a good day, hitting balls hard and going 3-5. The Blue Jays played some small ball in the 8th, taking advantage of hit and runs and some tough at-bats that resulted in hits. Jordan Romano did his best to try and blow the game for the Blue Jays but ended up getting a save and closing out the game for the Blue Jays. In this episode, we break down individual player performances, highlight plays, and give some sneak peeks regarding future episodes and video ideas your hosts are looking to bring you in the future.
