SF Giants Defeat Dodgers on Brett Wisely's Walk-Off HR

The Dodgers have had the San Francisco Giants' number this year. And for the last few years, as a matter of fact. However, Friday night was different. Logan Webb put together another great start and the SF Giants blasted three home runs—including Brett Wisely's booming walk-off shot in the bottom of the ninth—to send the Giants to their fourth victory in five games on this homestand.

Wisely has been a key contributor for the Giants this year despite struggling mightily in 2023. The SF Giants will need him to continue to produce, as the Giants lost two key contributors to the injured list prior to Friday's game, with Thairo Estrada and Wilmer Flores landing on the 10-day IL. LaMonte Wade Jr., thankfully, was added to the roster prior to the game.

The Giants announced mid-game that Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda, the Baby Bull, had passed away at the age of 86. It was the second huge loss in the Giants' family in 10 days, as all-time great Willie Mays passed away at the age of 93 just 10 days prior.
