Football will be back in Death Valley on Saturday. Granted it will be the Tigers' spring game, but it will be LSU football in Tiger Stadium nonetheless. This will be the fans' and recruits' opportunities to get a glimpse behind the curtain of what Brian Kelly's squad will look like in his third season in Baton Rouge. Until then, LSU fans have relied on media coverage and coach press conferences to get an account of how the Tigers look at this point in the spring. One of those reports is from coach Kelly who did not mince words about how the wide receiver room is shaping up and how there is an obvious standout in that group.

"One of the things that has clearly been present for Kyren Lacy is his consistency," Kelly said about the fifth-year wide receiver. "That wasn't necessarily the case with Kyren last year. He was easily distracted at times...Kyren learned a lot last year watching Malik Nabers and [Brian Thomas] and the way they practiced every day."

However Lacy is not the only LSU wide receiver at the forefront of the conversation in April. Former LSU WR Malik Nabers declared for the NFL Draft at the end of this past season and is predicted to be a top-ten, even top-five pick in the 2024 NFL Draft happening in Detroit later this month. Nabers, however, is not receiving only positive publicity. According to a report from Sportskeeda.com, an NFL source has expressed concern that Nabers is "high maintenance" and there are concerns about his ability to remain level-headed in a big market.
