The Cleveland Guardians dominated the Miami Marlins behind an overwhelming offensive attack, and five shutout innings from Ben Lively., cruising to an easy 8-0 shutout win in game two of their three-game series at Loan Depot Park.

The Guardians scored six runs in the fifth inning, sending eleven hitters to the plate, pounding Roddery Munoz and Declan Cronin all over the field.

Jose Ramirez hit his 18th home run and drove in his MLB-leading 61st run to get the Guardians going in the first inning. Steven Kwan homered and drove in a pair of runs, and Josh Naylor added two hits and two RBI’s for the Guardians. (41-22)

The Marlins (22-42) had nos hot against Lively, who allowed just three hits on 65 pitches in his best outing of the season.

Munoz gave up four runs in four innings, all earned. Cronin got ripped for four runs on three hits and a walk, in just a third of an inning.

The two teams wrap up this weekend series tomorrow, with first pitch set for 1:40pm ET. Trevor Rogers (1-7) will pitch for the Marlins, facing the Guardians’ Carlos Carasco. (2-5)
