Jonah Bride's three-run home run sparked a six-run fourth inning for the Marlins, who rallied to win the final two games of this series and salvage a four-game split.

Edward Cabrera pitched his best game of the season, allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight in five impressive innings for Miami. It was the first time in 11 starts this season that he didn't give up a run.

In what has become almost a daily thing, the bullpen held down the last four innings of shutout ball, with three relievers finishing the six-hitter. Bride's home run was his third this season and second of the series.

Emmanuel Rivera had two hits plus a walk, a run scored and a steal. Xavier Edwards went 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run, extending his hitting streak to six games and his on-base streak to 21. Jake Burger added a sacrifice fly, his 8th RBI in the last week. Braves All-Star lefty Max Fried (7-6) gave up five runs on four hits in just 3 1/3 innings, walkingh five and striking out six. Austin Riley had three hits for the Braves, who were shut out for the. time this season.

The Marlins are 3-2 since the July 30 trade deadline. It was their sixth shutout of the season and first since May 24.

Atlanta had a run taken off the board in the third on a successful replay challenge by Miami. Jorge Soler tried to score from first on a double by Riley and was initially ruled safe on a close play at the plate, but the call was overturned and the game remained scoreless.

The Marlins are 3-7 against the Braves this season. They head back home for a 7-game homestead, starting with four games against the Cincinnati Reds tomorrow through Thursday at Loan Depot Park.

First pitch in tomorrow's opener is set for 6:40 pm ET. Roddery Munoz (2-5, 4.55 ERA) will pitch for Miami. The Reds are undecided.
