We'll take that Burger TO GO! Jake's three-run smash in the bottom of the ninth capped off a stirring comeback- propelling the Marlins to their league-leading ninth walk-off win this season and sending the Loan Depot Park crown into frenzy.

Burger had been three for his last twenty--with nine strikeouts- before he locked in on a 100mph fastball from ChiSox Closer Michael Kopech, and drove it 400 feet to left-center field.

Burger's heroics came right after Josh Bell tied the game with a double off the left-field wall. Kopech and the White Sox chose not to walk Bell or Burger- Miami's two biggest power hitters- with the game on the line, runners in scoring position and first base open, and the two big guns made them pay.

The Marlins scored six runs from the seventh inning onward, giving them 23 runs scored after the seventh on this 7-game homestead.

Edward Cabrera made his return from the IL for Miami. The hard-throwing righty went just 3 2/3 innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits in a no-decision. Cabrera had been on the injured list (with a bad shoulder) for over two months.

Danny Mendick went 3-4 with a homer and three RBI's, and Korey Lee 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI, for the White Sox, 26-66.

Chicago starter Jonathan Cannon went six innings, allowing one run on three hits.

The Marlins (32-58) have won two in a row, and they finish this homestead 2-5. They have the day off tomorrow before opening up a three-game series on the road against the Houston Astros.

First pitch is set for. on Tuesday, with with Trevor Rogers (1-9) facing Ronel Blanco.
