The Tampa Bay Rays finished off a quick two-game sweep of the Miami Marlins, pounding Braxton Garrett for five runs in 2 2/3 innings on their way to a 5-3 win at Loan Depot Park in Miami.

The Rays jumped on Miami starter Braxton Garrett, early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and never looking back in the finale of this two-game series at Loan Depot Park.

Garrett gave up all five Tampa runs, all earned, on six hits in just 2 2/3 innings. The bullpen was fantastic again for Miami, as they have been all season.

Isaac Paredes had two doubles, three RBI's and a run scored for the Rays, (31-31) and Brandon Lowe had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Josh Bell had three hits and an RBI to lead the Miami offense, and Jesus Sanchez and Otto Lopez each drove in a run for the Marlins, 21-41.

Tampa Bay starter allowed Zach Eflin gave up two earned runs on three hits in four innings. The Rays' bullpen pitched scoreless relief from the sixth inning on.

The Marlins have the day off tomorrow, before welcoming in the American League Central leading Cleveland Guardians for a three-game weekend series.

First pitch Friday night is set for 7:10 pm ET, with Ryan Weathers on the mound for Miami, facing Cleveland's Logan Allen.
