The Red Sox came from behind and ended up holding on for a 6-5, 10 Inning win over the Blue Jays Tuesday night at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Sox clinch the series and win their 4th straight game. The Red Sox also picked up their 80th win of the season and are 2 over .500 with 4 more to go. Chase Shugart walked 2 hitters with 2 outs in the 10th including the 2nd with the bases loaded to force in a run. Shugart came back and got the final out to leave the bases loaded.

3 In The 10th- Red Sox went in front for the 1st time in the game in the Top of the 10th. Trevor Story Doubled in a run to put Boston in front, 4-3. Connor Wong brought in a run with a fielder's choice groundout. Vaughn Grissom knocked in the 3rd run of the inning with an RBI Single.

2-Out Magic: Red Sox were blanked through the 1st 6 Innings by Bowden Francis and the Jays Bullpen. The Sox finally got on the board in the 7th Inning. Vaughn Grissom and Wilyer Abreu both worked 2-out walks. Danny Jansen reached with an infield Single to load up the bases. The next batter, Ceddanne Rafaela, knocked in 2 runs with a Single. Rafaela picked up his 74th & 75th RBIs of the season with the Single. Jarren Duran then struck out to strand a pair of runners. Red Sox evened up the game at 3-3 in the 8th Inning with Masa Yoshida picking up an RBI when he reached on a fielder's choice and bringing Romy Gonzalez in from 3rd base with less than 2 outs.

On the Board 1st: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got the Blue Jays on the board 1st with a 2-out, 2-run Double in the Bottom of the 3rd Inning. Guerrero now has 7 Doubles and 12 RBI in 12 games this season against the Red Sox.

Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello made what is likely his final start of the season on Tuesday night. Bello gave up a pair of walks in the 3rd Inning including a 2-out walk in front of Guerrero, who delivered the 2-out knock that gave the Jays a 2-0 lead. Bello came back and worked a 1-2-3 4th Inning before he called it a night. Bello had a 5.55 ERA after his start against the Blue Jays (7 ER allowed in that outing) on June 25 and finishes the season with a 4.49 ERA. Bello gave up 2 ER or less in 10 of his last 18 outings.

The Pen Story: Lucas Sims was the 1st out of the Bullpen for the Red Sox. Sims walked the leadoff hitter Davis Schneider and he eventually scored on a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0. Justin Slaten got the 7th Inning and was able to work out of a 2nd & 3rd and 1-out jam by getting 2 groundball outs to end the Inning. Luis Garcia and Luis Guerrero each worked scoreless frames. Guerrero walked the leadoff hitter in the 8th and then got a groundball Double Play. Chris Martin walked the leadoff hitter in the Bottom of the 9th and then got a Double Play and a strike out to send the game to Extra Innings. ​
