The Detroit Tigers fell to the Minnesota Twins in MLB action at Target Field on July 4th. Despite an early lead thanks to a solo home run by Colt Keith in the first inning and a two-RBI double by Jake Rogers in the second, the Tigers couldn't hold off the Twins' relentless offense. Kenta Maeda, who started on the mound for Detroit, struggled mightily, giving up nine runs on nine hits in just 3.2 innings, inflating his ERA to 6.71. The Twins' Jose Miranda delivered an impressive performance, going 5-for-5 with three doubles, three RBIs, and four runs scored. Ryan Jeffers also had a standout game, hitting a home run and driving in four runs as the Twins racked up 14 hits and 12 runs. The Tigers' bullpen couldn't contain the Twins either, surrendering additional runs as the game progressed. With the loss, the Tigers move to 39-47 on the season, while the Twins' victory adds another highlight to recent MLB news. The Tigers will look to rebound in their next outing as they continue to battle through the MLB season.
