Detroit Tigers secured a dominant 8-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Monday night at Progressive Field. Tarik Skubal was exceptional on the mound, pitching 7 innings while allowing just one run on 10 hits, striking out six, and walking one to lower his ERA to 2.34. The Tigers' offense was powered by Justyn-Henry Malloy's two-run blast, Jake Rogers RBI Triple that was essentially an inside the park home run,both coming early in the game. Wenceel Perez also had a standout performance, going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, three runs, and a stolen base. The Cleveland Guardians were unable to mount a significant challenge, as their starter Carlos Carrasco struggled, giving up six runs over 5.1 innings. With this win, the Detroit Tigers improved their road record, capitalizing on a solid performance from both their hitters and pitchers.
