The Detroit Tigers suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 defeat to the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. Despite a strong fifth inning where Parker Meadows and Zach McKinstry delivered clutch hits to put the Tigers up 3-0, the Mariners clawed their way back. Luke Raley hit a solo home run in the sixth to spark Seattle's rally. The Mariners clinched the win with a dramatic bottom of the ninth, featuring a bases-clearing double by Mitch Haniger off Will Vest, who was tagged with the loss. While Bryan Woo pitched well for the Mariners, allowing three runs over 6.2 innings, it was reliever JT Chargois who earned the win, shutting down the Tigers' offense in the final inning. Detroit’s relief corps kept the game in check until the final inning, but ultimately couldn’t hold on as key defensive plays and timely hitting led Seattle to victory.
