The Detroit Tigers were shutout by the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday afternoon at Truist Park in Atlanta, falling 7-0. The Tigers offense struggled to find its rhythm, managing only eight hits and striking out eleven times. Despite a solid effort from starter Tarik Skubal, who pitched four innings, giving up five runs (four of them earned) on seven hits while fanning seven, Detroit couldn't back him up with any runs. Sean Murphy was the standout for the Braves, going 4-for-4 with two home runs, four RBIs, and three runs scored. The Tigers' bullpen, including Mason Englert and Joey Wentz, allowed two more runs over four innings. With this loss, Detroit Tigers continue to face challenges both offensively and defensively as they look to bounce back in their next series.
