The offense scored five, and Yankees pitching shut down the Twins offense for 26 out of 27 innings in the series. After Ryan Jeffers's lead-off home run in the bottom of the first on Tuesday, the Yankees’ pitching didn’t allow a run. Schmidt had swing-and-miss stuff on Thursday, and the Yankees won another series. This is the 17th time since 2002 that they’ve swept the Twins in a series (regular season and playoffs combined).
