In honor of the 4th of July weekend, we had the one and only Unkle Samm in the studio for this awesome episode. We go back with Unkle Samm, and seeing where he is artistically now compared to where he was when we had first met him in 2019 is so inspiring. This year, he bet on himself and became a full-time artist. From his experiences, he shares with us some insight and tips on making that leap.
Before this, he spent the past 5+ years traveling to and living in some major cities in the U.S. for work, and creatively promoted his music along the way. It wasn't until living in Cleveland that he really was able to find his people, grow his confidence, and truly build the Unkle Samm brand. We talk about how he filmed many music videos here in Cleveland, the humiliation of filming one in public, and Jurbz using some behind-the-scenes footage from a music video as content on her Hinge profile (PS, it kinda worked!).
