Mary Ann "Polly" Nichols wurde am 26. August 1845 geboren und am 31. August 1888 ermordet. Sie gilt als das erste "kanonische Opfer" des Serienmörders Jack the Ripper. Wir erinnern uns heute an ihr Leben, nicht an ihren grausamen Tod. Dafür besuchen wir u.a. die Kirche, in der sie am 16. Januar 1864 getraut wurde, und die Gegend in Spitalfields, in der sie kurz vor ihrem Tod gelebt hat.
