However, the industry is facing numerous challenges, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, Australia calling and the imminent retirement of a significant portion of its workforce. To remain competitive and sustainable, it is crucial for the industry to focus on attracting and retaining a capable workforce that is not only adaptable to foreseeable changes but one that sees significant benefit in being a part of the EDB sector in New Zealand specifically. This will mean ensuring all our workers thrive and have visibility of the opportunities within the sector.
