For over 10 years, millions of viewers counted on Carmindy to teach them about the latest makeup tips and tricks on TLC’s hit show “What Not to Wear” but what really inspired her viewers was her confidence-boosting attitude towards all women. Carmindy taught them how to see their unique beauty and stop any negative commentary going on in their heads. She showed that all women, of all ages, possessing all types of features had the right to love and celebrate themselves. That positive attitude inspired her to create Carmindy Beauty, a streamlined collection of beautiful color cosmetics and fragrance for all women regardless of age or skin type sold exclusively at QVC.
Since her Southern California childhood, Carmindy dreamt of traveling the world doing makeup, meeting inspiring women and having great adventures. Through hard work and an unstoppable attitude, she made that dream a reality. As makeup artist for over 25 years she painted faces in the studios of Paris, on the beaches of Brazil, and on the streets of Havana. She’s lived in Los Angeles, Milan, Miami, and now makes her home in New York, where she established herself as a top makeup artist, beauty and lifestyle expert and entrepreneur.
Carmindy’s work can be seen on the editorial pages of leading magazines such as Elle, Cosmo, Conde Nast Traveler, Town and Country, InStyle, O, Essence, Marie Claire, Glamour and many more. She is the author of 4 best-selling beauty books titled The 5 Minute Face, Get Positively Beautiful, Crazy Busy Beautiful and Bloom. She’s a public speaker on women’s empowerment and a regular guest on Good Morning America and The Today show. In(her) Beauty is her latest digital show that can be seen on all QVC social platforms. This new show is a true “Makeover Takeover” of women in need of discovering their unique beauty potential.
Carmindy’s other passion besides beauty is traveling the globe experiencing different cultures and discovering local beauty and fashion indigenous to the areas she is visiting. With 50 countries under her belt she feels as if she has just scratched the surface and her wanderlust continues.
What Not To Wear is now available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and is currently in syndication in over 117 countries.
