God, I'm Still Counting My Blessings!

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." Psalm 103:2

In every sunrise and sunset, I see a new blessing to count. God's canvas is endless, and so are His gifts to us. God, I'm still counting my blessings, and it's truly amazing how countless they are. Your goodness is often most apparent in the smallest details. Every sunrise, every kind word, and every unexpected smile are reminders of Your grace. Life's little gems reveal themselves each day if we only take the moment to notice them.

Father, on this side of Heaven, time feels so limited. No matter how much I count my blessings, I realize there's no way to list them all. Seasons change, but it’s comforting to know these changes aren’t endless. Enduring through trials is made bearable by recalling all the blessings You’ve showered upon me.

Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

One story comes to mind: a humble man lost his job and felt despair closing in. But he started each day by listing three things he was grateful for. Slowly but surely, his perspective changed—a neighbor offered a helping hand, an old friend got back in touch, and opportunities flowed his way like never before. Gratitude turns what we have into enough, as Melody Beattie beautifully puts it.

As Philippians 4:6-7 implores us, do not be anxious about anything... with thanksgiving present your requests to God. Because gratitude turns what we have into enough, and I'm still counting my blessings daily as whispers of God's love echo through my heart. So, keep counting your blessings and recognize God's unfathomable faithfulness. Remembering all the times God has been there makes life's journey more joyous and full of hope. Amen. Psalm 107:1 says, "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Amen

Prayer for the Day

Oh Lord, may we never take for granted the precious gift of life you have bestowed upon us, nor forget the infinite love that surrounds us each day. Grant us the insight to appreciate the lessons hidden within struggles and to see your divine plan unfolding in every chapter of our journey. In Jesus' name. Amen
