Perfectionism. Who doesn't want perfection? The perfect steak, perfect health, perfect spouse, perfect church. Perfectionism can be regarded as a noble pursuit, but when taken to an extreme become toxic and harmful to oneself and to others. Honestly no one is perfect, except Jesus. Paul tells us in Romans 15:1-7 ways we can overcome the dangers of perfectionism. "Accept one another...as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God." (Romans 15:7) Spiritual blind spots: - Self-reliance - Avoiding conflict resolution - Inward focus - Busyness - Material affluence - Perfectionism
