In Dublin to perform the album Ceol Ársa Cláirsí at the Tradition Now weekender in the National Concert Hall, Steve Cooney's interpretations of ancient Irish harp tunes for solo guitar has added something new to the canon. There’s ancient magic at work here as these tunes were either composed or collected from the beginning of the 1600s to the end of the 1700s.
