In this edition of Manlike Radio, Richard Boyd and Stan Ferrell discus how Stan overcame the pain of divorce. Marriage was first created by God. God made the man, Adam, but declared that it was not good for Adam to be alone. He then brought to Adam all the animals, which Adam named, but "no companion suitable for him" was found (Genesis 2:20.) In a article by Christianity Today, Amy Julia Becker wrote the following. A popular Christian blogger recently announced that she's getting divorced. She knows all the biblical reasons to stay married, and she understands the far-reaching repercussions when Christians divorce. On her personal blog she writes, "I can see why the Scriptures say God hates divorce. It's not that he hates either of us (although at times, it's easy to believe otherwise), but he hates what the brokenness of divorce does to the very souls of a man and his wife. http://www.christianitytoday.com/women/2011/march/when-christians-get-divorced.html Divorce and remarriage are major issues facing every man. When men turn to other men for guidance, often they hear a conflicting messages. The Bible does provide realistic and wise guidance of crucial importance and practical help for Christian men today.
